Initial Contact and Troubleshooting Guide

1.  Confirm that the docking station is powered.  The Green light should be illuminated on the dock as shown in the picture below.

If the light is not illuminated check to insure that the wall wart is completely plugged into the wall.
If that does not resolve the problem make sure that the breaker hasn't been thrown for that outlet an the outlet has power.
If the light is still not illuminated than either the dock or the wall wart itself has problems.  Call technical support for assistance.

If the light is on, let's move on to #2.

2. What is on the display?

Have the customer touch the display panel.

If the display is still off move to #3.
If the display show their stores logo with the buttons "Checklist" and "Settings" move to #4.
If the display shows their logo and indicates "Docked" state move to #5.

3.  Is the unit mated properly?

Have the customer remove the touchblock from the dock and reinsert it.  Insure that the unit has mated properly.  Once mated the white boot screen similar to the one shown below will appear.

It is most likely that the unit was not docked properly and the battery discharged while undocked.  Advise the customer to leave the unit docked for at least several hours to charge the Touchblock enough for list processing.  Afterwards, review the temperature monitoring data to make sure that the probe assignments haven't been decoupled.

4.  The unit has not registered a dock event.  Have the customer remove and reinsert the touchblock until they can feel it mate properly.  Once connected the dispaly should move on to display transmission information.  If it does not update the screen after being successfully docked, the application has hung and the Touchblock should be reset.

5.  The devices appears to be functioning as designed.  Have the customer remove the Touchblock from the dock and make sure that the display updates to the "Checklist", "Settings" screen.  If the unit still display's "Docked" after the device has been remove the application has hung and the Touchblock should be reset.
